Job Summary
Operate machine tools such as TIG/MIG welders, lathes, and milling machines while working to blueprints and sketches. Prepare, read, and interpret written reports, instructions, procedures, and guidelines. Maintain confidentiality and use standard hand and measuring tools for precision work. Lift 75 pounds and work in confined spaces within a manufacturing plant environment characterized by temperature extremes and loud noise. Manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work flexible hours including overtime and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- Forklift training and experience
- Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Associate's Degree in Tool and Die
- Journeyperson status in Tool and Die
- Good color vision
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to use standard hand and measuring tools
- Ability to operate machine tools such as TIG/MIG welders, lathes, milling machines
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime to be available to three (3) shifts
- Ability to work to blueprints and sketches
- Ability to prepare, read and interpret written reports, instructions, procedures and guidelines
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, suppliers and customers
- Ability to work well with others; build and maintain positive employee relations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, and use discretion and tact
- Ability to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to use computer and software as required
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of how job performance affects product quality and customer satisfaction
