Job Summary
Inspect, build, and maintain tooling and part fixtures using turning, milling, and grinding operations. Perform scheduled and emergency tooling repair, maintenance, cleaning, and set-up of self-contained molds. Assist in troubleshooting tooling on production floor molding machines and recommend design changes to improve tooling life. Participate in plant-wide safety efforts, continuous improvement activities, and assist in training apprentices. Work independently or on a team with a 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM shift, including a one-hour lunch.
Required Qualifications
- Two – Five years' experience in assembly and reassembly of molds
- thorough knowledge & understanding of tooling
- tool room practices
- fabricating techniques
- Mechanical aptitude
- ability to accurately trouble shoot
- problem solve
- strong organizational and mathematical skills
- Degree or diploma for 2-year machine trades program
- Trade School certification
- Shift time: 6:00 AM – 6PM with 1 hour lunch
- Must be able to pass criminal background check
