Toolmaker

Entry Level Toolmaker sought to support tooling fabrication, fixture maintenance, and prototyping in a precision manufacturing environment. Focus areas include cleaning and preventative maintenance of production fixtures, basic fixture repair under the guidance of experienced tool makers, and assisting in prototype development by fabricating and modifying fixtures, jigs, and tooling components. Responsibilities include operating machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, lasers, CNC), reading and interpreting technical drawings, measuring with dial indicators, gauge blocks, and micrometers, maintaining tight tolerances, collaborating with engineers and senior tool makers, contributing to Lean Kaizen events, maintaining a clean safe workspace, and performing additional duties as assigned. Minimum eligibility requires a High School Diploma or GED, legal work authorization in the U.S., basic mechanical and shop math skills, basic computer skills, ability to lift 50 pounds, willingness to overtime, simple assembly capabilities, knowledge of machine tool geometry, and ability to read blueprints.
