Job Summary
Report tool status and issues to production and engineering teams while collaborating with machinists and maintenance personnel. Explain tooling changes, setups, and preventive actions in team meetings, supporting documentation for tooling reviews and audits. Utilize CAD/CAM software and tooling management systems to optimize tool performance using wear data and production feedback. Perform mold repair, preventive maintenance, and tooling setups, checking accuracy with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and CMMs. Requires 3-5 years of experience in injection molding or tooling systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Tooling Technician, Mold Technician, or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience in injection molding or related processes and tooling systems
- Experience with mold repair, preventive maintenance, and tooling setup
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with a deep understanding of tooling, molds, and machining techniques
- Proficient in using precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMMs) to check tooling accuracy
Desired Qualifications
- Technical degree or certification in Tooling, Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field
- Skilled in using CAD/CAM software and tooling management systems
- Familiar with CNC machine interfaces and measurement tools
