Job Summary
Tooling Technician at Amcor is a mid-level position responsible for setting and maintaining mold tooling and ensuring tooling is production-ready at the time of scheduled setup. Responsibilities include mold assembly and disassembly, preparing tooling with necessary components, identifying tooling from setup sheets, performing mold preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with GMP and SQF, safety, and food-safety requirements. The role requires monitoring product quality, reporting violations or unsafe conditions, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with supervisors and team members to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications include a high school diploma/GED or relevant production-equipment experience, ability to multi-task, pass a background check and drug test, lift up to 35 pounds, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or three years of experience with production equipment or six months as an Amcor Packer
- Must have the ability to multi-task
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
- Must be able to monitor quality of machine output
- Capable of lifting (up to 35 pounds)
- Able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms
- Must have written and verbal communication skills
