Tooling Supervisor

Job Summary
Coordinate daily tooling issues and prioritize them to maximize press room productivity and machine utilization. Supervise Tool and Die Makers and Trainees, actively participating in tool design to ensure reliability, quality, and safety. Liaise with tool vendors, contractors, and manufacturers to close performance gaps and manage tool build progress against schedules. Initiate and oversee tooling changes upon engineering authorization while suggesting alternative designs to improve manufacturing processes and costs. Work 2nd shift hours (3pm - 12am) plus overtime as needed. Comply with BOS, ISO/TS-16949, and customer-specific requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Tool and Die Card through the Department of Labor
- Previous experience supervising skilled trades
- Experience training employees in the tool and die trade
- Previous experience working as a tool and die maker in a metals plant
- Experience in progressive and transfer dies
- Must be able to meet the requirements of being able to work in the United States (INS Form I-9)
- Must be willing to work 2nd shift hours (3pm - 12am) plus overtime as needed
- Must be capable of resolving all problems while maintaining good rapport with customers
