Job Summary
Tooling NDT Technician I at GE Vernova FieldCore supports FieldCore’s NDT equipment operations by inventorying, inspecting, testing and preparing product-line tooling; assists with assembling specialized equipment kits, and trains on equipment diagnostics. Responsibilities include maintaining clean and safe NDT workstations and warehouses, following safety guidelines, diagnosing equipment issues, managing inventory and shipment deadlines, reviewing returned equipment, recording inspections in equipment software, and supporting project scheduling. Requires collaboration with Level II/III technicians, willingness to work holidays/weekends/overtime as required, and potential travel to field assignments. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, electronics, and mechanical principles; strong teamwork, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in inspection of complex equipment or electrical/mechanical tool repair
- Moderate computer knowledge (spreadsheets, word processing, basic data handling)
- Strong team player attitude
- Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks simultaneously
- English Proficiency Required
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools and equipment
- Basic electronic skills (electrical theory)
- Basic mechanical knowledge (torque values, hardware sizing)
