Job Summary
Fabricate, maintain, modify, and install tooling such as production assembly jigs and engineering test fixtures in collaboration with engineering design teams and production operations. Develop, prepare, and maintain documentation related to tooling and calibration equipment. Program, setup, and machine parts on 3- and 5-axis mills, lathes, and live tooling lathes; operate manual equipment (Bridgeport mill, manual lathe, surface grinder, drill press). Additional duties include equipment maintenance and calibration, blueprint reading, CNC machining, welding, composites modification, tooling inspection, laser tracking, CMM and portable arm metrology. Preferred experience includes CAD/CAM software (CATIA, Vericut, MasterCAM) and metrology devices (CMM, arm, laser tracker). The role is 100% onsite at Hazlewood, MO with related aerospace manufacturing context and union environment.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years’ experience working in a machining environment
- 1+ years’ experience in repairing, maintaining, construction, and/or the inspection of tools, dies, jigs, powerfeed, etc.
- 1+ years’ experience as a machine operator CNC programs
- 1+ years’ experience with 5-Axis & 3-Axis NC/CNC Milling Machine
- High School diploma or GED
