Job Summary
Lead day-to-day tooling operations across three shifts in the Milwaukee facility, managing maintenance, repair, outsourcing, fabrication, procurement, and new builds for die-cast and stamping mold tooling. Deploy business processes, drive continuous improvement, and execute a production management system to deliver new tooling launches on time and at budget. Build and manage diverse teams through hiring, training, and performance development while enforcing safety protocols and standardizing work. Coordinate with stakeholders to optimize processes, streamline new build workflows, and proactively plan for demand changes and supply shortages. Ensure proper resource allocation and maintain consistent results through structured documentation and lean manufacturing principles.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree from an engineering discipline, industrial management or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience
- Limited travel (less than 15%), including international, required
Desired Qualifications
- CNC programming, high-speed machining, EDM (wire & sink), and grinding knowledge preferred
- Knowledge of quality control and part print references (GD&T)
- Advanced understanding of MS Project or other similar resource planning software
- Understanding of lean concepts and how to apply them to a manufacturing environment
- Efficiently collect, analyze, and present data in a clear & concise format
- Interpret data analysis and provide insightful recommended solutions
- Ability to influence others through strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and inventory management skills
- Vendor management skills to include negotiations, contracts, and performance compliance
- The ability to manage projects and work in a team project environment
- Ability to handle nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.)
- Ability to work with a variety of abstract and concrete variables
