Tooling Manager

Job Summary
Lead and manage the Tool Room, Tool Service, and Punch Departments to drive tooling quality, reliability, and production efficiency. Develop and implement tooling concepts, methods, and standards that reduce costs and increase productivity. Oversee tool maintenance, new tooling development, and vendor relationships. Collaborate with production and support departments to troubleshoot tooling issues and minimize downtime. Manage tooling inventories, department budgets, and purchasing requirements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and standardization across the department. Must develop people through supervision, training, coaching, and professional growth, while promoting a strong safety-first culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree in Engineering, or Journeyman Tool and Die Maker certification
- 5–7 years of experience in a tool room environment
- Strong knowledge of punching and blanking dies
- Proficiency with CAD and CAM software
- Experience with CNC and conventional machining techniques
