Job Summary
Set up, troubleshoot, and operate metal working machinery including CNC centers, wire EDM machines, manual mills, and lathes. Assist with process development, fixture design, and equipment maintenance while following all quality management procedures and inspection processes. Maintain a clean and organized work area and contribute to overall facility housekeeping activities. Collaborate with the Department Lead, Operations Manager, and other machinists to achieve defined personal goals. Requires Haas or Charmilles experience, Mastercam proficiency, and strong GD&T knowledge. Occasional overtime may be required to meet business demands.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to use quality measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, indicators, etc.)
- Excellent troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
- Dependable and possesses a high level of integrity
- Takes initiative, works and communicates well with others
- Respectful attitude towards others
- Possesses strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Has deep understanding of GD&T
- Is a good communicator in both oral and written forms
- Is able to work in a fast-paced, small company environment
- Ability to lift/pull up to fifty (50) pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment
- Some use of Mastercam
