Job Summary
Build, modify, and maintain complex steel dies and casting tooling while designing and fabricating machining fixtures and workholding. Work hands-on on the floor to layout, fit, machine, assemble, and rework tooling, solving tough problems to deliver working solutions. Partner with programming, machining, and production teams to get tooling production-ready and maintain existing patterns over their life cycle. This role requires genuine hands-on craftsmanship, self-direction, and the ability to read complex prints and models. Required Qualifications
- Patternmaking, die, or tool-and-fixture experience
- Strong hands-on mechanical ability
- Drive to master complex tooling
- Genuinely hands-on; you want to be building and fitting, not just planning
- Self-directed and resourceful
- Ability to take ownership of a build and figure it out
- Skill with manual machines
- Skill with hand tools
