Tooling Engineer

Job Summary
Tooling Engineer who designs, develops, and maintains tooling (dies, molds, fixtures) for manufacturing, creates CAD models, mentors machinists, and leads tool projects from concept through completion using AutoDesk Fusion 360 and CNC equipment. Responsibilities include translating input requirements into tools, coordinating with manufacturing and vendors, maintaining tooling databases, designing/ procuring fixtures, programming CNC equipment, supporting multiple design projects to meet customer timelines, and contributing to budgeting and process improvements. Preferred experience in medical or bio-pharmaceutical industries, ISO 13485/FDA guidance, and Six-sigma training; strong English communication, project management, and documentation skills; willingness to work extended hours when required. Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- 3-5 years of tool design experience
- Experience with medical or bio pharmaceutical industry preferred
- Proficient computer skills using MS office, Solid works, Minitab, AutoDesk Fusion 360
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Track record of effective project management
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Independent self-starting work habits
- Experience with ISO 13485 and FDA guidelines preferred
- Six-sigma training a plus
- Ability to communicate in English
- GD&T understanding
- Ability to follow SOPs and WI’s
