Job Summary
Design and engineer moderately complex tooling protocols for molds, jigs, and fixtures as per product specifications; participate in design reviews; perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) evaluation; validate molding designs and troubleshoot tooling issues; implement cost effective tool design changes; collaborate with other team members to qualification, sampling, and final part approval; provide status reports as per established schedule; prepare and maintain documentation related to tool room equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience and training for 8+ years of related experience in thermoplastics, thermosets, injection molding (e.g. product design, validation of tools), mold flows, troubleshooting and resolving tooling issues, strong familiarity with molding processes.
