Job Summary
Provide Engineering support to the West Palm Beach GTF MRO operation during engine maintenance; maintain work scopes per WPB MRO requirements (14 CFR Part 145) using EMP, customer work scopes (SMI), and approved deviations; act as primary contact for customer inquiries about engine shop visits; evaluate in-process findings (IPFs) and assess impact on scope, cost, and turnaround time; identify high-cost, high-impact components and develop strategies to reduce removal rates; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, EH&S, and ITAR; apply CORE methodologies to enhance operational performance; leverage CAD/CA tools (NX, Teamcenter) and data sources to support engineering decisions and continuous improvement in an FAA Repair Station MRO environment for GTF engines; collaborate with inspection teams to implement changes in tech data and maintain quality, cost, and delivery targets.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree and 6+ months of Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or broad Aerospace or Aftermarket industry experience; OR Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree and 4+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 6+ years of relevant industry experience
- Experience with CAD software such as NX and Teamcenter
- Ability to read and interpret technical data, GD&T, blueprints and engine manuals
