Job Summary

Perform sample review tests of cutting tools and workholding for form, fit, and function, utilizing CAD software to develop 2D blueprints and 3D solid models. Create technical details such as feed/speed calculators and usage guides, while analyzing schematic diagrams to develop standards for new product development. Provide technical support for tooling and workholding to end users, collaborate with marketing and product development departments, and develop prototypes and testing of new designs. Carry out quality assurance tests, perform Excel and VBA programming tasks, and provide training to junior engineers. Maintain industry knowledge by attending events and preparing scripts for videos in support of tooling and workholding.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
  • Must be able to operate and program CNC machines
  • Haas most preferred
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of cutting tools and workholding
  • Intermediate knowledge of CNC machine tools
  • Advanced experience using CAD and SolidWorks software
  • Intermediate experience using SAP
  • Ability to complete projects on time and to specification
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
  • CAM experience that is up to date with current software
  • Intermediate experience with VBA and Python programming
  • Intermediate robotics knowledge
  • Travel up to 5%
  • Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations in English
  • Must have the ability to write analytical and/or technical reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and create instructional reference material
  • Must have the ability to speak effectively before groups, customers, employees of the organization and/or the general public
  • Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Must have the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions such as mathematical and/or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Desired Qualifications
