Job Summary
Plan and direct the timely execution of engineering assignments for tooling development supporting PWR and BWR fleet outage activities. Ensure projects comply with established policies, customer standards, and government engineering procedures while monitoring team performance. Research best practices to propose improvements and work interactively with clients to develop strong relationships. Lead a team of tooling engineers on special projects, ensuring first-time quality for specialized maintenance tasks. Requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria
- Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data
- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment
- Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Displays leadership characteristics
- Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking
- Experience supervising/leading a team of design and tooling engineers
- Background in the development of tooling, including underwater tooling applications
- Good analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills
- Generic knowledge of disassembly, reassembly, and fuel handling activities at commercial nuclear power plants
- Experience working with SolidWorks and/or SmarTeam applications
- Offers are contingent on background check and drug screen (where applicable)
