Job Summary
Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of various machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and drills. Disassemble and assemble dies following standard operating procedures, clean dies and components, and measure parts using precision instruments like micrometers and calipers. Perform basic repairs, trim die maintenance, and operate lift trucks to move materials. Read blueprints, use measuring tools, and operate tool room equipment while working with Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance departments. Complete one year of machine tool class and acquire forklift certification. This role provides hands-on training in tooling design, fabrication, and repair to prepare for a skilled technician career within SHIELDTECH's manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of machine tool class completed.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to acquire a Forklift certification.
