Job Summary
The Industrial Tool Technician will maintain, diagnose, repair, and calibrate handheld power tools, industrial equipment, dies, and molds; perform preventative maintenance; troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues; document repairs; and support daily operations. The role also includes administrative and customer-support tasks such as answering inquiries, data-entry, maintaining repair records, and coordinating with customers, vendors, and internal teams. Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing components, calibrating tools to specifications, testing for proper operation and safety, maintaining clean and safe work areas, identifying recurring issues and recommending improvements, managing repair parts inventory, and assisting with warranty coordination. Safety and compliance with OSHA standards are emphasized, along with ongoing communication and documentation duties to ensure efficient workflow and service quality.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of tools and equipment types
- Proficient computer skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and calibrations
- Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and repair procedures
- Maintain safety and OSHA compliance
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
