Job Summary
Set up and operate presses to blank product from flat stock sheets and strips, ensuring every piece meets exacting specifications. Calibrate and clean machines, adjust settings for speed and alignment, and handle raw materials with precision. Conduct periodic checks, troubleshoot issues, and maintain detailed activity logs while inspecting parts using measuring tools. Perform changeovers involving high-value components and record data accurately. Work across a variety of presses with a focus on accuracy and consistency. Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a machine operator
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read mill tickets, follow work instructions, and interpret manuals written in English
- Strong math skills and confidence using precision measuring devices
- Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently and meet time-sensitive production goals
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
- Ability to read, speak and understand English
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
- Conditions include exposure to loud noise, fluctuating temperatures (hot or cold), and moving machinery
- Position involves walking, standing, and occasional lifting of materials
