Tool Room Technician

Job Summary
Issue, receive, and track tools, equipment, and supplies for employees and project crews while maintaining accurate inventory records. Inspect tools for damage, wear, and safety compliance, then organize, clean, and store items in designated locations. Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and replacement of damaged equipment, and receive, unpack, and verify shipments of tools, parts, and supplies. Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts, monitor tool usage to report shortages or losses, and prepare equipment for field deployment. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized tool room and work area. Work Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM in a shop-based role with some outdoor and job site work.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills
- Familiarity with inventory tracking systems
- Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
- Attention to detail
- Commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workplace
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a tool room, warehouse, construction, rigging, industrial, or similar environment
- Valid driver's license
- Forklift certification
- Experience operating material-handling equipment
- Knowledge of hand tools
