Job Summary
Oversee daily tool room operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to production schedules. Manage the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all manufacturing tools and equipment while supervising and training personnel to foster safety and continuous improvement. Implement quality control procedures for tools, fixtures, and gauges, maintain accurate inventory records, and collaborate with engineering to develop new tooling solutions. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the facility. This role requires 5+ years of tool room experience with 2+ years in a supervisory capacity, including proficiency in CNC mills, lathes, and GD&T. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a technical field or a skilled trade apprenticeship
- 5+ years experience in a tool room
- at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting various machine tools (e.g., CNC mills, lathes, grinders, EDMs)
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and metrology
- Experience with tool and die repair, fabrication, and preventive maintenance programs
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for tooling design and programming
