Job Summary
Supervise and train tool room personnel on safety procedures and equipment operation. Oversee scheduling and execution of preventative maintenance for tools and machinery. Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables, initiating procurement as needed. Ensure all tools and equipment are calibrated and maintained to meet quality standards. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tool performance and equipment malfunction. Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices within the tool room. Collaborate with production and engineering departments to support manufacturing needs. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience in a tool room or machining environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of various machining processes, tooling, and metrology equipment
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex tooling and production issues
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming
