Job Summary
Prioritize and coordinate incoming work requests from engineering and production to ensure timely completion of tooling builds, repairs, and modifications. Oversee tooling lifecycle execution by maintaining accurate inventory, enforcing preventive and reactive maintenance schedules, and managing vendor performance on outsourced work. Directly supervise toolmakers and toolroom personnel, assigning daily tasks, monitoring workload balance, and providing hands-on technical guidance on interpreting engineering drawings and troubleshooting production issues. Drive continuous improvement in workflow efficiency, safety compliance, and quality standards while maintaining clear communication across internal teams and external suppliers.

- Fluent in both engineering requirements and shop floor realities
- Ability to write and read English
- 5+ years of experience in a machine shop, toolroom, or manufacturing environment
- 1–3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a shop environment
- Strong understanding of machining, tooling, and manufacturing operations
- Proven experience coordinating work across multiple functions
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and prints
- Strong organizational, scheduling, and leadership skills
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Self-starter
- Detail oriented
