Job Summary
Tool Room Machinist responsible for performing basic machining in the tool room within a plastics/injection molding environment. Must operate manual equipment, read micrometers and gauges, use various hand tools, maintain safe/clean work area, and contribute to team efforts. Requires experience with machine tools or mechanical assembly, ability to read micrometers/calipers/indicators, and proficiency in manual machining. Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred, with 5+ years in injection molding and strong safety/quality focus.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in injection molding
- Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred
- Basic knowledge of all types of tooling and gauges
- Experience with machine tools or mechanical assembly
- Reading micrometers, telescoping gauges, calipers, comparator, indicators
- Proficiency in manual machining skills
- Good problem-solving skills, safety practices and attention to quality
- Tool Room Machinist must be able to operate manual equipment
- Be able to use all types of tooling and gauges
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
