Tool Room Machinist

Construct, repair, maintain, and calibrate machine-shop tools, jigs, fixtures, instruments, and metal-forming dies without supervision. Analyze specifications, lay out metal stock, and operate CNC and manual machine tools such as lathes, mills, shapers, and grinders to fabricate and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, gauges, and hand tools. Verify conformance of machined parts to specifications by studying blueprints, sketches, and models to determine materials and assembly sequences. Work the 2nd shift from 3:00 pm to 1:30 am, Monday through Thursday, earning between $30.00 and $40.00 per hour with a $2,000 sign-on bonus and 20% shift differential.
