Tool Room Inventory Control Specialist

Job Summary
Own and optimize the tool room tooling inventory to support machining operations. Establish a structured inventory control system, evaluate and improve CribMaster usage, and implement disciplined controls to ensure tooling availability, accountability, and traceability. Maintain real-time inventory levels, organize tool room layout for efficiency, track usage and reorder points, and collaborate with machinists, supervisors, and purchasing to meet tooling needs. Conduct cycle counts and audits to reduce loss, waste, and inefficiencies while ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and adherence to safety and quality requirements. Drive continuous improvement in inventory control, cost management, and production efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in inventory control within a manufacturing or machine shop environment
- Strong understanding of tooling used in CNC machining and fabrication operations
- Experience implementing or improving inventory systems and processes
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to build and improve systems
- Experience with inventory tracking software or systems such as CribMaster
- Strong attention to detail and accountability
