Job Summary
Maintain daily shop inventory and inspection reports with accuracy. Conduct routine maintenance on tools and tool groups within the tool room. Serve as the primary contact for maintenance and supplier vendors, handling invoice administration and new vendor setup. Reconcile vendor deliveries to ensure accurate receipt and correct billing. Record, track, and maintain environmental inspection documentation. Coordinate preventative maintenance services for shop cranes, steamers, air compressors, and related equipment. Record warranty and core parts, ship parts to Caterpillar for credit, and dispose of expired warranty items. Deliver tools, equipment, and supplies to designated shop locations. Address oily debris, manage hazmat waste bins, and maintain wash rack and sandblast areas. Assist qualified technicians with basic repair tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong organizational and time‐management skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and follow compliance procedures
- Comfortable working with vendors and supporting shop personnel
- Strong communication and customer‐service skills
Desired Qualifications
- Basic mechanical aptitude helpful but not required
