Job Summary
Tool Repair Technician role at Power Line Supply: responsible for disassembling, diagnosing, repairing, and reassembling mechanical and hydraulic tools; performing assembly and repair of mechanical grounds; testing PPE and related equipment; ensuring stamping, marking, and packaging per customer specs; conducting tests to applicable standards (ASTM, ANSI, NAIL); interpreting technical prints and schematics to support repair/testing; testing hot line tools and grounds at facility and at customer sites; dielectric testing of insulated buckets/liners; assisting with tool inventory management and scheduling per safety policies; travel to customer sites as required; strong safety focus and ability to work independently or in a team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred
- Experience with mechanical and/or hydraulic tool repair is highly desirable
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel to customer sites when required
