Job Summary
Inspect tools and equipment for defects, disassemble units to diagnose issues, and identify faulty components. Perform repairs on power tools and hoists by replacing defective parts such as motors and gears, then reassemble and test for proper functionality. Conduct ISO/IEC 17025:2017 calibrations, clean tools, and perform quality checks to uphold safety standards. Interact professionally with customers to provide updates and gather repair information while accurately entering data into the ERP system. This role requires regular interaction with customers and effective communication across departments to ensure timely and quality service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Solid knowledge of tool mechanics and repair procedures
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair machinery
- Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills
- Experience with electrical systems
- Experience with hydraulic systems
- Experience with pneumatic systems
Desired Qualifications
- 1–2 years of technical experience maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment
- Experience with pneumatic tools
- Experience with transducer-controlled tools
- Experience with controllers
- Experience with battery tools (transducerized, clutch, etc.)
- Experience with ADE systems
- Experience with hoists
- Exceptional attention to detail
