Job Summary
Repair, refurbish, salvage, or prepare shop equipment and tools for sale in accordance with the asset management strategy. Diagnose tools upon receipt, inspect for physical damage, and document failure modes using proper functional testing. Build specialized tool kits from Build of Materials sheets and sign off on completion. Maintain a Lean/5S environment by keeping workstations orderly and mitigating fluid, grease, and dust buildup daily. Document all completed steps, quality tests, and measurements in Smartsheet and Salesforce to ensure accuracy and billing.
Required Qualifications
- Subject Matter Expert in high-quality diagnosis and repair procedures
- Strategic parts purchasing knowledge
- Ability to perform a consistent diagnosis process on tools
- Knowledge of asset management strategy to repair, refurbish, salvage, or prep for sale
- Ability to document completed steps within a tracker and asset management system
- Ability to document what was completed by serial number within Smartsheet and the Asset Management system
- Ability to inspect and test tools and equipment after they are received and prior to shipping
- Ability to perform necessary research to identify and document all failure modes, hidden damage, and failures
- Ability to build and assemble specialized equipment and tool kits following a Build of Materials (BoM) sheet and documented procedure
- Ability to sign off on completion and prepare items for inventory
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment utilizing the 5S methodology
- Ability to maintain a clean workstation and mitigate fluid, grease, dust, or other shop buildup on all surfaces
- Ability to apply the 5S and Lean methodology to their workstation/work area
- Ability to use a computer frequently during the day to enter data and document decisions
- Ability to document all quality tests and measurements via Salesforce
- Vigilance in accuracy and efficiency for data entry
