Job Summary
Review incoming tooling requests from manufacturing engineers, production supervisors, and inspection teams to manage the manufacture, alteration, and repair of durable tooling. Collaborate with customers to create SAP notifications, PM orders with cost estimates, and scheduled delivery plans while working with suppliers to ensure functional, high-quality tooling. Set up repairs, alterations, new makes, and rejects through SAP, procure quotes, and manage supplier activities to support in-house fabrication. Identify and resolve technical issues for manufacture, design, inspection, and tool try-outs, while providing daily status reports to customers and tooling management via SAP. Highlight potential missed deliveries and quality concerns, recommending recovery actions.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor's degree
- minimum 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, procurement, materials management, or tooling design/tool room environment
- Associate's degree
- 7 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, procurement, materials management, or tooling design/tool room environment
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent
- 9 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, procurement, materials management, or tooling design/tool room environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to Read and understand tooling blue prints
