Job Summary
Fabricate, repair, and modify tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures by interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications. Operate a variety of machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs while performing precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related production issues and maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality. This opportunity is for a forward-thinking professional with a passion for precision tooling and creating high-quality dies and molds.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a certified Tool Maker apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Demonstrated expertise in operating manual and CNC machinery, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs
- Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment processes, and various tooling materials
- Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality control procedures
