Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance, adjustments, and daily repairs on molds while assisting production. Execute general procedures including safety protocols, cleanliness, and documentation. Interpret blueprints to respect manufacturing tolerances and disassemble simple or complex molds independently. Conduct repairs, modifications, and fixture work on injection molding machines with minimal supervision. Operate lathes, mills, grinders, laser welding, and various CNC machines including HAAS and Fadal. Program electrodes using Mastercam and SolidWorks without supervision. Solve mold issues on injection molding machines to support the production floor. Work Monday through Saturday from 6:00am to 2:00pm in Heredia, Zona Franca Metropolitana.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience as a precision mechanic
- 5 years of experience in medical or related industries
- Primary education completed
- Ninth grade diploma
- Technical title in Precision Mechanics
- Basic English proficiency
- Desirable title in CNC programming and equipment handling

- Ability to interpret any drawing and respect manufacturing tolerances
- Ability to clean and disassemble simple molds without supervision
- Ability to clean, disassemble, and adjust complex molds without supervision
- Ability to perform simple mold repairs
- Ability to provide solutions for mold problems on injection machines
- Ability to perform complex repairs, mold modifications, and fixtures with minimal supervision
- Ability to use lathes, milling machines, and grinders in both buildings agilely and effectively
- Ability to weld laser machines in any form efficiently
- Ability to use HAAS and Fadal CNC milling machines to machine different parts
- Ability to use wire erosion machines efficiently
- Ability to use spark erosion machines efficiently
- Ability to program electrodes in Mastercam
- Ability to design and program electrodes
- Ability to use Solid Works and Mastercam efficiently without supervision
