Job Summary
Fabricate, alter, and repair tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures while interpreting complex blueprints and schematics. Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs, performing precision measurements to ensure part conformity. Troubleshoot tooling issues and recommend improvements while maintaining a clean work area and adhering to safety protocols. This role requires 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with proficiency in machining processes and technical drawings. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Tool Maker in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of various machining processes, including milling, turning, grinding, and EDM
- Expertise in operating and maintaining a range of tool room equipment, both manual and CNC
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal apprenticeship program or vocational training in tool making is a plus
