Job Summary
Conduct mold and die repairs by fitting components, assembling parts, and verifying dimensions against specifications. Perform accurate machine setups, test for water leaks and electrical issues, and adjust controls to detect malfunctions. Execute preventive maintenance on in-mold closings, hoses, and water fittings while utilizing IQMS/Kanban for equipment tracking. Adhere to lock-out/tag-out procedures and maintain consistent component cleaning and storage. Monitor food safety standards for raw materials and finished goods, reporting any process failures to the Food Safety Team Leader. Support OEE metrics, participate in tool teardown meetings, and collaborate with Engineering for vendor sourcing.
Required Qualifications

- Must be able to sit and/or stand
- Must be able to talk or hear
- Must be able to use hands, fingers and arms to feel objects or controls
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to undergo prolonged standing/walking periods of 12 hours
- Must be able to follow proper procedures including lock-out / tag-out
- Must be able to utilize IQMS/Kanban
- Must be able to document mold repair procedures in IQMS
- Must be able to perform accurate, safe and correct setups
- Must be able to assure no flash, water leaks and other potential issues
- Must be able to test for water leaks and test electrical for any issues
- Must be able to address any known previous problems or issues
- Must be able to comply with the established standardization of mold setup and teardown procedures
- Must be able to apply learned best practices
- Must be able to select, align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments accessories and materials on machines
- Must be able to start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
- Must be able to adjust machine controls as required
- Must be able to verify conformance of finished work piece to specs
- Must be able to fit and assemble parts into complete assembly
- Must be able to verify dimensions and alignment of assembly
- Must be able to maintain consistent and effective component cleaning and storage
- Must be able to maintain liner dies needed for production
- Must be able to change non-production molds in advance as needed
- Must be able to support OEE/SEE metrics and related goals
- Must be able to follow the escalation process for tool issues
- Must be able to document, standardize and create procedures for repeatability, predictability and improved efficiency
- Must be able to perform data entry on shop floor as needed
- Must be able to collaborate with Engineering to enable effective vendor sourcing
- Must be able to participate in internal machining projects
- Must be able to actively participate in tool teardown meetings
- Must be able to participate in shift hand-off activity
- Must be able to strictly adhere to plant safety, housekeeping, and 5S efforts
- Must be able to identify safety gaps and self-initiate corrective actions
- Must be able to understand, identify, and correct safety hazards
- Must be able to monitor and verify activities to ensure that finished goods and raw materials meet consumer safety and quality standards
- Must be able to comply with all company food safety and quality assurance procedures
- Must be able to report any product or process failures that could impact food safety of manufactured products
- Must be able to submit an appropriate incident report
- Must be able to support a culture where employees address unsafe conditions and behaviors
- Must be able to make suggestions for improvements
- Must be able to actively participate in implementing solutions
- Must be able to drive a culture which empowers employees to understand and embrace what they own
