Job Summary
Tool Install Construction Manager leads the on-site orchestration of semiconductor tool installations within a large-scale fab construction environment. Responsibilities include serving as the primary construction manager for all tool installation activities from rough-in to final acceptance, coordinating tool install sequencing across multiple bays/phases, directing subcontractor and self-perform crews for mechanical, electrical, process piping, and utility connections, overseeing first article inspections and vendor- and owner-driven requirements, managing MEP rough-in activities (process mechanical, electrical power distribution, exhaust, bulk gas, DI water, PCW, CDA, specialty chemicals), aligning with design drawings and UCDs/P&IDs, resolving field conflicts with engineering and owner teams, supporting startup activities including loop checks and commissioning, and driving safety and quality to NEC/NFPA/SEMI standards. The role also requires detailed CPM scheduling, cost management, and coordination with OEM field service engineers, owners’ teams, and vendors to ensure on-time tool install readiness and successful turnover. A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred, with 10+ years of relevant CAPEX construction experience in semiconductor environments and experience with live fab construction.”,
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of progressive construction management experience on large-scale CAPEX projects within the semiconductor or advanced manufacturing industry
- Hands-on experience supporting tool installation programs at leading-edge fab facilities for clients such as Intel, Micron Technology, TSMC, Samsung, GlobalFoundries, or similar tier-1 chipmakers
- Deep working knowledge of MEP systems in a cleanroom/fab environment (process mechanical, bulk gas, chemical distribution, PCW, exhaust, power systems)
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent tool install workstreams across different fab bays and subcontractors
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents including civil/structural drawings, MEP drawings, P&IDs, UCDs, and equipment layout plans
- Experience with CPM scheduling tools (Primavera P6 preferred) and construction management platforms (Procore, e-Builder, or equivalent)
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field (equivalent experience considered)
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (preferred)
- PMP or CCM certification (preferred)
- Experience with tool install on EUV lithography, etch, CVD, ALD, CMP, diffusion, or implant equipment (preferred)
- NFPA 70E – Electrical Safety in the Workplace certification (preferred)
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus (international projects)
