Job Summary
Assemble projects from the CNC department using approved blueprints, retrieve raw materials, and verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances to ensure parts meet specifications. Operate a front-load forklift and overhead crane while following safety guidelines, and use measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, and micrometers to check tolerances. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks, determine appropriate tools for customer specifications, and work independently with minimal guidance on operational challenges. Maintain high concentration and attention to detail for extended periods while wearing required PPE. This 1st shift, hourly position is located in Mansfield, Ohio, within a manufacturing environment requiring standing, walking, and working around loud equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to stand for extended periods on a concrete manufacturing floor
- Must be able to sit, walk, push, pull, bend, crouch, crawl, kneel, and maintain balance as needed
- Must be able to safely go up and down stairs
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work around forklifts, machining equipment, and potentially loud noises
- Must meet close, distance, and color vision requirements and adjust focus as necessary
- Must wear all required PPE, including steel-toed boots and safety glasses
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years of tool and die machining experience
- Front-load forklift experience
