Job Summary
Assess damaged tooling and stamping dies to determine repair extent, then interpret blueprints and sketch layouts for new parts. Install and remove dies from machinery, perform regular preventive maintenance, and fabricate assemblies using machining and welding techniques. Oversee the work of others or build new tooling independently while reading precision gauges and applying shop mathematics. Requires minimum two years of technical degree or relevant experience. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2-year technical degree or relevant work experience
- Ability to diagnose damaged tooling and stamping dies to determine solution
- Knowledge of shop mathematics, machining and assembly methods, properties of sheet metal under pressure, and metal-forming presses
- Ability to read and understand blue prints
- Competence in reading precision gauges
- Effective communication skills
- Quality directed work attitude
- Experience in diagnosis and repair of industrial machinery and equipment
- Ability to fabricate assemblies using machining and welding techniques
- Basic knowledge of computers and programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Highly motivated and able to work independently while using good judgment
