Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on casting and trim dies, including tearing down and rebuilding dies for refurbishment. Machine and modify parts using lathes, mills, and grinders while troubleshooting issues like cooling line blockages and leaks. Install and maintain cooling systems using blueprints, execute TIG welding for precision tool repairs, and restore tooling with hand and pneumatic tools. Document all repairs and maintenance in the system while working in both the toolroom and production floor. Requires high school diploma, one year of machine shop or manufacturing experience, and ability to read blueprints. This stable, long-term opportunity offers a journeyman apprenticeship program and competitive pay with shift differentials.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year of experience in a machine shop, manufacturing, or plumbing
- Ability to read blueprints and work with precision measurements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
- Willingness to learn and complete a Journeyman or Apprenticeship program
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, or die casting (preferred)
