Job Summary
Tool & Die role on 3rd shift at Worthington Enterprises, responsible for safely maintaining machine tools, fixtures and dies; supports manufacturing teams with problem solving, quality control, and continuous improvement. Requires blueprint reading, ability to read complex drawings, operate lathes/mills/surface grinders, and work with cross-functional teams in a 300+ union facility in Chilton, WI. Includes 3rd shift hours (10:00pm–6:00am), weekend work, and a sign-on incentive; comprehensive benefits available from day one. Training offered on 1st or 2nd shift.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Machinist Certification (Preferred)
- Must be able to lift a maximum of 35 pounds
- Must have blueprint reading skills and math skills
- Ability to read complex drawings and fabricate parts
- Experience with machine shop equipment (lathes, mills, surface grinders)
- Knowledge of die building and repair; ability to disassemble/assemble machine tools and dies
- Experience with tooling changeovers and press startup troubleshooting
- Ability to work 8-10 hours on 3rd shift and weekends
- Background check required
- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to convert metric and English measurements
- Experience in continuous improvement projects
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Quality control and inspection experience
- Knowledge of safety protocols and LOTO
- Willingness to participate in try-outs and verify quality specifications
- Ability to multitask and operate multiple equipment
