Job Summary
Cleans, repairs, and maintains die heads, belling heads, and all tooling associated with PVC extrusion. Sets up die racks, heater bands, and pin heaters; prepares die sets for changeovers including air plugs and tank gaskets. Measures barrels and screws using precision instruments, establishes records for sizing sleeves and changeovers, and ships parts for repair. Performs preventive maintenance on plant equipment, conducts minor carpentry for storage, and ensures safe working practices. Directs inexperienced employees and maintains clean working areas. Requires one-year technical certificate or four years of related experience with die heads and tooling.
