Job Summary
Tool & Die Maker who will build, repair, and maintain jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies; read blueprints or written instructions; plan setups and operate machine shop tools to meet tolerances; perform heat treating and welding as needed; inspect work with precision measuring tools; perform hand operations to produce tooling; assemble, test, and troubleshoot tooling to ensure proper function and product quality; assist machinists and millwrights with punch press overhauls; collaborate with product designers on manufacturability; requires completion of formal apprenticeship or equivalent, and journey-level machinist experience highly regarded; competitive pay, benefits, and shift premium on 2nd shift.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent in-tool & die training
- Read blueprints/ sketches
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
- Experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication preferred
