Job Summary
Tool & Die Maker responsible for maintaining and repairing dies and tooling, interpreting blueprints, fabricating and adjusting tooling, and coordinating with CNC and WEDM departments to meet production and quality targets. Requires operating toolroom equipment (surface grinders, milling machines, lathes, drill press), high attention to tolerances, ability to troubleshoot dimensional issues, voyage into related areas as needed, safety-conscious work ethic, and flexible shift/overtime availability. Must have experience with quality inspection gauges and CMM data, and strong communication/analytical abilities; physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and moving moderate to fast-paced workloads across terrain.
Required Qualifications
- Must have shift and overtime flexibility including some weekends
- Working knowledge of quality inspection gauges and CMM data is required
- Working knowledge of machine tools and manufacturing technology is required
- Capable of troubleshooting dimensional issues and adjusting for optimal run conditions in press to support production schedule
- Capable of being trained in areas outside of your expertise
Desired Qualifications
- Journeyman Tool and Die Maker/Repair preferred
- Must have shift and overtime flexibility including some weekends
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs on a routine, daily basis
- Working knowledge of quality inspection gauges and CMM data is required
- Working knowledge of machine tools and manufacturing technology is required
