Job Summary
Tool & Die Maker II at Kapco Osceola, WI. Performs skilled duties developing/building dies, jigs, fixtures; builds new and repairs existing dies including progressive dies; works from blueprints/sketches to create/modify prototypes, tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds; calculates dimensions/tolerances to set up machine tools; operates lathes, grinders, milling/boring machines to produce tools; performs maintenance/repair duties; verifies that quality/print specs are met; orders supplies; requires a two-year trade school program, or equivalent, and three to five years of experience in building new metal stamping and progressive dies.
