Job Summary
Construct and repair tooling to ensure smooth production operations, working with metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and hand tools. Read blueprints and interpret GD&T to set up dies in press for tryout, repair details, and clearances. Assist Production and Maintenance in troubleshooting tooling issues, complete repairs and assembly tools to ready-to-run status, and make die alterations. Instruct and mentor trainees as needed while maintaining tooling documentation and recommending tooling improvements. Recognize when changes are required and run tool projects to optimize performance.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to set up die in press for tryout, repair details and set clearances
- Recognize and makes changes when tooling improvements are needed, complete repairs and assembly tools to ready to run status
- Ability to make die alterations, recommend tooling improvements and run tool projects
- Maintain tooling documentation
- Read blueprints and interpret GD&T
- Work with metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures, gauges and machinists' hand tools
- Construct and repair tooling to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
- Assist Production and Maintenance in troubleshooting and resolving tooling issues
- Support production by optimizing tooling performance
- Instruct & Mentor trainees within the department on an as needed basis
- Relocate to Conway, Arkansas
