Job Summary
DIRECT HIRE Tool & Die Technician role in Kansas City, MO. 1st Shift (7:30am-3:30pm, M-F) with overtime. Responsibilities include repairing and maintaining multi-cavity injection molds with hot runner systems, analyzing mold conditions, fabricating/repairing parts using machine tools, fitting components to tight tolerances, reading blueprints, overseeing apprentices, logging repairs, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance. Also performing minor welding/fabrication and overseeing apprentices. Qualifications require a high school diploma and a 4-year apprenticeship plus 4 years of experience in tool/mold repair; knowledge of hot runners, .0005" tolerances, machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders), ability to lift 50-100 lbs, and 10-15 years typical experience.
