Job Summary
Tool & Die Machinist needed for a full-time manufacturing role in Kansas City, MO. Responsibilities include analyzing blueprints, sketches, and specifications to plan and execute machining operations; setting up and operating lathes, milling machines, EDM, pantographs, and grinders to produce parts; assembling, fitting, and verifying tools, dies, molds, and fixtures to exact tolerances; performing repairs, heat-treating, and modifications on existing tools; and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards (ISO 9001) and environmental standards (ISO 14001). Requires 4+ years of tool and die experience (4-year apprenticeship or equivalent), proficiency in precision machining and blueprint interpretation, ability to meet tight tolerances (.0001), and a high school diploma or equivalent. First shift, M-F; full benefits including health, 401K, PTO/Holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in tool and die making, including a 4-year apprenticeship or equivalent
- Proficiency in precision machining, blueprint reading, and working to tight tolerances (.0001)
- High school diploma or equivalent; related training preferred
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in a manufacturing setting with moving parts and moderate noise
