Tool Design Engineer

Job Summary
Design custom tools, jigs, and fixtures for various manufacturing processes while interpreting blueprints and CAD models. Utilize CAD software for modeling, perform tolerance stack-ups and stress analysis, and support tool validation on the production floor. Requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with 5+ years of relevant experience in aerospace and manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace, materials, manufacturing processes, machining, sheet metal forming, and 3D modelling
- Experience designing mill fixtures, hot form dies, and assembly jigs for large complex aerospace structures
- Knowledge of project management, lean manufacturing
- Ability to utilize CAD software, 2D and 3D Modeling software (CATIA, Rhino)
- Proficiency with MS Office, material management, and ERP/MRP systems
- Internal Certifications: Forklift, Slings/Cranes, or others deemed appropriate
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma
Desired Qualifications
- CAD Software education at a Vocational/Trade School or college course
