Job Summary
Maintain spare parts rooms using 5S methodology and inventory control accuracy. Plan requirements and create purchase requisitions for spare parts and equipment, then receive and stock items at designated locations. Retrieve and distribute parts to maintenance personnel while filing all receiving documents. Verify physical stock counts against computer-generated inventory reports and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Order parts from contracted vendors for immediate mechanical repairs when stock is unavailable.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in tool cribs
- GED or High School Diploma
- General knowledge of the proper use of parts manuals and supply catalogs
- ERP Systems experience such as SAP, ORACLE, JD Edwards, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Access)
- Principles and practices of inventory management/control and work safety
- Basic mathematics
- Excellent verbal & telephone skills
- Good communication skills, oral and written at different levels
- Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stopping, climbing stairs, twisting and bending frequently (more than 4 hours of each activity)
- Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instruction and visually inspect parts
- Able to lift and push 50 lbs safely
